The backstory

Why Landon built Goodjuju.

The short version: he lived inside a property management business before he ever did SEO and marketing. That changes everything about how Goodjuju works.

Before Goodjuju, Landon started his own property management company from scratch. No book of business, no inherited portfolio, he didn't like the SEO and marketing offerings available, so he learned how to build his own website (with help) and started diving deep into SEO. In 15 months he grew that company from 0 to 172 doors. No large investor portfolios — mostly single-family rental owners. His father was the broker, dealing with health issues and living in another city, and couldn't help manage. The company fell apart as his father's health declined, and he eventually passed away.

Landon learned what every PM eventually learns: the marketing options out there are mostly built by people who have never managed a property. Generic local agencies don't get the nuances of property management. Cookie-cutter PM website vendors think a PM site is a brochure. PM lead-gen providers sell price-sensitive tire-kickers (bad owners) to several PMs at once, and call it a win.

"I needed marketing that understood doors, owners, and conversions, not just clicks. Nobody was building it."

— Landon Murie, Founder

That's the gap Goodjuju fills. It's a marketing agency built for property managers, by a property manager. Every site shipped, every SEO strategy run, every campaign launched is shaped by someone who has actually dealt with property owners, tenant requests, and the arguments in between.

Eight years and 300+ property managers later, that's still the operating principle. Goodjuju turns down work outside the PM vertical. The team isn't padded with junior account managers who Google "what is a PM", Landon hires people with the potential and teaches them everything they need to know.

If you're a property manager who's tired of guessing whether your marketing is working, Landon built Goodjuju for you.

Areas of expertise

A self-proclaimed nerd. In the weeds, on purpose.

Landon isn't your typical CEO, he's not out bumping shoulders at every conference trying to "expand the brand." He's an Elon Musk–ish operator: head down, deeply involved in strategy, client relationships, and shipping the work himself or alongside the team.

04

Facebook Ads

He built the framework Goodjuju uses for client ad accounts, creative, audiences, and the math.

Brand Strategy

Positioning a PM company to actually win their ICP, not just look generic-but-polished like the rest.

06

Custom AI

Built three internal SaaS / tools the team uses daily. Can't share the details here, ask in a call.

Off the clock

The human behind the work.

EEAT lives or dies on whether visitors believe a real person is behind the page. This is where hobbies, family, where Landon lives, philosophy, and weird-but-true facts go.

A workaholic with a beach habit.

Landon will be the first to admit it, he loves the work, sometimes to his own detriment. The kind of founder who'll glance up from a Loom recording at 11pm and realize he forgot dinner. Goodjuju's COO, Jivko, has made it his unofficial second job to keep Landon balanced, protecting calendar space, forcing PTO, and occasionally hiding the laptop.

When he does step away, he goes far. Landon is a frequent international traveler and a regular fixture in Phuket, Thailand, where he owns a couple of beachfront vacation rental properties. He calls those trips "staycations", half because he's back at his own front door, half because he can't help running numbers on the rental market while he's there.

It's a fitting hobby for someone who's spent a decade in property management: even on vacation, he's reading the comps.

Why he stays in this niche.

Two reasons, and they pull in opposite directions.

The first is frustration. Every week Landon hears something on a popular industry podcast or at an event that genuinely pisses him off, bad advice repeated as gospel, vendors selling fairy tales to PMs who don't know better. He remembers being in those shoes, looking for the truth and finding mostly noise. So he stays loud about it.

The second is the win emails. The random text from a client who just landed their biggest portfolio takeover. The screenshot of a packed inbox after a launch. The "you changed our business" voicemail. Those make Landon's week, and the whole Goodjuju team's. That feedback loop is most of why he hasn't gotten bored after eight years.
